A LITTLE BIT ABOUT ME...

My mission is to share my gifts and what I've learned about health and wellness with others to help them live the healthiest life possible. After becoming a vegetarian at age 10 and ending my ballet career at 15 after having two hip surgeries, my love and passion for alternative therapies and nutrition grew. Following my graduation from Dartmouth College where I studied Social History and Anthropology, I started working at a small nonprofit in Washington, DC, but knew I was destined to do more and to work in the wellness field.

After a lot of self-reflection, prayer, and chats with loved ones, I decided to take steps to go after my dream. I began working on my M.S. in Human Nutrition and received my 200-hour Yoga teacher certification from the Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health in 2013 with plans to begin teaching immediately. But you know what they say about making plans... Soon after completing my program, I discovered I had a brain tumor and my plans were halted as it was necessary that I take time to recover from an awake craniotomy. It was here that I put all of my learnings to use to help myself heal and realized how much more I had to offer to others. After a lengthy recovery, I studied Reiki, completed my degree in Nutrition, took additional yoga trainings, and became a Certified Health & Wellness Coach and Reiki Master Teacher. I'm still learning and exploring this space, and I hope you will join me.

I am a firm believer that in the end, the one thing we must do every day is care for our mind, body, and spirit above all else. I look forward to growing with you along this journey as we do just that.

With love,

Catherine
